i am not sure about winning, thats the third ad hominem argument or point this night
A christian is someone who believes in God at any time in his life. but i dun care if u wan to twist this around again, as u always does.
Haha...everything is said by urself. ad hominem argument or not. if u really like to be in ur fantasy world where u can dictate everything then go ahead.

i didnt twist, if i have to point out to a christian the glaring difference between a opportunistic christian and a staunch one, i really dont noe what to say
by definition, ad hominem argument leads you to question emotional state, character, background etc of the other person, hence you trying to imply that i am proud, want to win, etc, is clearly showing you are using ad hominem arguments
how far could i go? i really wonder

Since u claimed i used ad hominem arguments means dat u don't right? Then do u mind show me the magnimity of bowing out since u wonder how far u hav to go?

life is all about choices... you can choose to walk left or walk right... or simply walk straight or back to where you came from. God simply game your the choice to decide your direction... that is the free will God gave you.
you saw a wallet on the floor containing money with an NRIC. you know who the owner is and you have the choice to either return him both the money and NRIC, or take the money but return the NRIC or take the money and throw the wallet away. this my friend is free will that God gave you.
what is destiny? what is your destiny? do you know? were you meant to be a doctor, a lawyer or a priest... you can be an accountant now but your destiny may be a priest, who knows? your destiny does not reveal itself until it's time.

Doesn't matter if i can't define a good person, dats not important. If u want the defination, u can look up "good" in the dictionary :)
So He does not exist elsewhere?
It does matter from your pov, because if a good person goes to heaven and a bad person goes to "hell" then the definition of who is good is important. So what is that definition?
Mark 10:18
So Yeshua said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, G_d.
Micah 6: 8
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the ADONAI require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your G_d?
So then the question is how do you walk humbly with your G_d?

i dont really, all along i try to harp on reasons why god can be blamed, yet you keep harping on my character, going on and on about heart, pride, winning etc
why on earth do i have to show people like you magnaminity?

God is omnipotent so He exists everywhere anytime. But for me, He is in my heart.
I help others to my capabilities. Dats 1 of my most common way of walking with Him.

I did not harp on ur character. If i did i humbly apologise :) but i jus mentioned u gave me the feeling u wanted to win this debate so much, dats all.
Anyway let me show u something which i hav & u dun. God is with me. He tells me to be magnimous in this debate & dat this will be my last post to u regardless of wat kind of replies u may resort to.
Peace be with u :)

Nice...but i do it differently. i always spelled God with a capital G regardless of sequence :)
maybe i am wrong, maybe it's just my perception... maybe i'm just being silly but i remembered i was told that sinful man can still enter the gates of Heaven if he repents at the last minute or second.
we have this thing call last rites for dying men and women... it is the last chance for them to reconcile with God before they breath their last. it was believed or rather i believed that a man may be sinful and may be notorious during the years of his life but at the end, before the end he confessed to God during the last rites that he was a great sinner and he feels deep remorse for the sins he committed. i also remember if he declare that he believe that God is the Almighty and he pray for salvation earnestly, he will receive grace and he shall be allowed to enter the gates of St. Peter.
or if Heaven does not allow immediate entry, there is a place call Purgatory where souls are being purified before entering Heaven... so in lame man's term; one can still enter the gates of Heaven if one is truly repenten of his sins...
this is purely my personal opinion.

nope, i dun appreciate my emotional state, character or background being pointed out or harped on during a discussion on facts
i dont, so dont even start it
you are delusional, go seek psychiatric help
i think the reason why Christians are hated because we argue too much, we push too much and lastly we protest too much...
i think the easiest and most convincing way to convert someone is through your own actions and culture... if someone sees you as a great person, you inadvertedly draw them towards yourself and you can influence them positively on the benefits of being a Christian...

Have you ever stopped to consider how He wants you to walk with Him?

there is no prize for winning a religious debate... it only sours the relationship between different beliefs.
if you don't believe what Christians believe, it's okay... it's perfectly normal and i believe in diversity. i think what Christians need to have more is an open mind that there are many other unknown forces revolving around this world. there are things we cannot see and just believing what you can only see is the biggest mistake one can make.
Originally posted by breytonhartge:Have you ever stopped to consider how He wants you to walk with Him?
Yup...He wants me to do more like sharing things with others, giving way to others & helping others without expecting anything in return. But i can tell u honestly bro, it's damn difficult becos u hav so many people to make things difficult for u at work & in life. i must admit sometimes i failed but He tells me to persevere.

i dont understand, why is winning so important to christians that they must mention it many times?
i dun believe what christian believe, but the point at hand is i dont believe the bullcrap he is peddling to me right now
there is a world of difference between christian belief and bullcrap

Like wat Jesus said: "Happy the man who sees & believes but happier the man who cannot see yet believe."

Would you take the risk? We are not Yahweh, and we cannot say yes or no either way. And do you seriously think there is a heaven to go to? What is heaven? What does the bible say about going to heaven? Another question for you, define sin.
Originally posted by +Sikoyo+:Agreed bro. but u can see all around in life dat there are many people who argue & push so much to win. regardless being christians or not.
that's life... in work place, people can stab you so they can gain the promotion. in school, people refuse to "enlighten" you in the subject so they can be on director's list... these people exist everywhere, even animals do that in nature... a king cobra will eat another snake so it can survive and grow bigger and badder... it is human nature (listen to Michael Jackson's Human Nature and you'll understand) to win.
if it's not worth fighting for; don't... let them win if it so matters to them. fight for your rights only if it's worth fighting for.

I think you missed the question. What does the bible say about walking humbly with Him? Don't be too quick to answer that one, go have a good read of the book from cover to cover and give me an answer when you know.

nobody quote the bible or read any other sources, i even think they really dun care
nowadays people can come up with any crap and peddle it as ''christian belief''
sigh
