what if another child is born into a family of non-christians? does that mean that the child is destined to go to hell? the bible v imbal.Originally posted by gasband:1. Yes the bible says that and I believe in the bible. many people says its unfair lah etc.... well thats for you to argue with the one who said it and that is God, if you can convince God otherwise, I am sure He will let you into heaven. But if you are asking me, I will just tell you what the bible says.
2. True. But face it, are there any perfect person with a perfect interpretation of the bible? However incompetent a christian is, it does not change who God is.
Seriously, when they cursed me to go to hell when I dun believe in their religion, I already know forgiveness is NOT a trait of Christianity.Originally posted by CyNdI)4.eVa:u got a point. that's why must forgive and forget. forgiveness is the first step towards heaven. that's why i am now formally forgiving all those who are anti-christians and jealous that god loves me.
agreed. i feel that religious organisations should give more to help the coummunity. building a fcuking beautiful church will do nothing to help earn one's way into heaven.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:To me, the bible is nothing more than a fictional book compiled by ppl long time ago so I reuse the bible as toilet paper and I think ppl should do this so as to save more trees. Actually, I feel that churches should spend more of their church fund on helping the poor instead of renovating the church like some high-class KTV or pay the priest handsome salaries.
wtf?! is this true? what is that chosen man of god doing? didn't god tell him to speak up like how god told me last night to speak up against the increase in GST.Originally posted by mrwonderful:“The greatest cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips but deny Him with their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.” -Brennan Manning
and to add in SG, christian guys are generally too nice, or abit wierd (social behaviour) or have extreme Christian beliefs and views. not to forget the many who go church just to sian zar bor.
anti-christian and anti-christianity are technically the same thing, one refers to the individual, the other the organization but the ppl make up the organization.
now if u are saying anti christ that is a different matter. I got nothing against God and am an agnostic, am not going to align myself with christians.
its true that dan browns stuff is mostly fiction, but Christians and the Vatican have not exactly upholded God's name throughout the last two centuries, excluding the crusades and witchhunts.
just read up on what the Vatican did (or did not do) during the Holocaust. The Pope at that time definitely knew mass genocide, was being carried out but chose to keep quiet to appease his Nazi occupiers. His line of defense: "We save souls, not save lives." This is just one eg.
But a beautiful church like CHC will lure youngsters into Christianity and restrict them from learning the TAO.Originally posted by CyNdI)4.eVa:agreed. i feel that religious organisations should give more to help the coummunity. building a fcuking beautiful church will do nothing to help earn one's way into heaven.

Sigh, can see Christianity is failing and Buddhism is gaining.Originally posted by OO_OO_OO:sigh. a lot of youths go to church for the wrong reasons.. its becoming increasingly common
so next time instead of amen, you hear amitofo?Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:Sigh, can see Christianity is failing and Buddhism is gaining.
My master started the trend of 'Yu Fo Tong Zai'. Now other masters are also saying 'Yu Fo Tong Zai' bcos its easier to understand than amituofuo and is more of refering to our buddha nature that is one with all buddhas.Originally posted by Icemoon:so next time instead of amen, you hear amitofo?
Izzit? I don't see any failing leh.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:Sigh, can see Christianity is failing and Buddhism is gaining.
Hard to say. Skully Dharma centre has prettier girls.Originally posted by Honeybunz:Izzit? I don't see any failing leh.
People are drawn to Church for pretty girls (which means that... Atheism and Buddhism are left with ugly looking girls????)
So which one is gaining now?

With all things being equal, will you want a girl who pester you to convert or with whom a failed relationship is more likely due to peer pressure?[/b]

Please note, the way you 'question' here is remarkbly different from how you 'question' elsewhere. It's not just an observation, it's evident.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:From my observations, there are many anti-Christianity threads in this forum than in the Buddhism or Toaism forum? And some of us just like to question the bible and God until you all finally get fed up and use this magical sentence.
"We humans are just too stupid to understand what God has for us. It is beyond our understanding."
Again like I and many others have said so a lot of time but you blatantly choose to ignore. There is more than one church in Singapore and in the world. Widen your perspectives and stop being so personal and myopic.Originally posted by NUS_Superst@r:To me, the bible is nothing more than a fictional book compiled by ppl long time ago so I reuse the bible as toilet paper and I think ppl should do this so as to save more trees. Did I say what George Bush is doing is right? Unlike you who claim that God talks to you.Originally posted by CyNdI)4.eVa:isn't that what geog bush is doing?
You know very well why your name is there.Originally posted by CyNdI)4.eVa:wtf. why is my name there? i dun hate christians. it's just that god is disturbing my sleep every night just to chitchat with me.
