Seriously how come people think tithing is compulsory? In the New Testament .. the Apostle Paul did not sound like it is compulsory. He even said give according to your income. I think he said something like give cheerfully also.
Furthermore .. God is God .. it is wrong already to assume He lacks something and you can supply Him.

he jus ask them (after consulting with the jerusalem apostles aka. jewish apostle) to live morally, dun eat food with blood in it, worship orderly la..etc.. (no time to quote the verse la)
if tithing is the standard for the new testament era, then paul will likely mention it. becos after the instruction to the gentile church, he added' there is nothing else' from me. this in effect seal any further added instruction not recorded in the bible. (or deem not need for the believers.)

but then again, when the word ' tithes' is use, it refer to compulsory giving to God or else you own God.
in the first place tithing is not longer a applicable thing in the new testament.

He gave alot of explaination but im only concerned about the conclusion, which is tithing is returning to God, which is compulsory.
If you want his sermon on that i think Path seekers should have. But its quite outdated as a tape. -

There are many ways to give back to God .. including offerings (outside your church), charity (reputable ones, not NKF), donation (every saturday) etc.
All are doing the works of God. For example, you can donate to an orphanage started by Christians (maybe the one run by Mother Theresa?). Who says you must put all 10% into your church coffer? -
