Okay, from chinese point of view, guy is yang and girl is yin. There is only combination of yin and yang. Yin and yin or yan and yan is never allowed in the first place and problems will soon appear when there is too much yin or yang. No t a good explaination but hope u all understand.

that's got to do with decency, nothing to do with sexuality. If u look at the sort of posts in Bar, about guys who want to touch girl's private parts or see zao geng or upskirt or wadever, the case is pretty solid that straight guys are still more indecent than gay guys. Maybe it's the gay guys in singapore, who, living in such an oppressive society, developed an indecency within them. The gay boys I know in UK are very decent n restrained people, and never make a move on strangers if they're unsure about their sexuality. -

and while i believe in filial piety, i dun believe in blind filial piety. For eg, if i know my parents are wrong about something, I will have to let them know they're wrong because I don't believe in letting them sit in a false and short-term bliss born of ignorance. Nothing is absolute, u have to weigh up other concerns against each other.
If your parents suddenly insisted u marrry someone they've picked for u, whom u really dislike, would u simply say yes out of filial piety? In the end, u're the one's who gonna live with the consquences for the rest of YOUR life -

It is not about the number of valid or invalid points, but how the point is applicable to the scenario at hand. The chinese believe strongly in filial piety, but they also have a term for blind filial piety - yu2 xiao4. Note that not everything is in black and white. For the example, you might not say yes. But what if your parents are dying? Will you want them to die in peace or huo2 huo2 qi4 si3?
Back to the topic, NUS raised the point on yin and yang. Perhaps it is true that too much yin or yang will harm your body? Haha.
