Was it possible that both parties didn't actually look at one another's perspective?Originally posted by laoda99:The more I read someone's posts abt we can keep the LAW, the more I feel Christ's first coming was redundant.
His perspective is always: Must go back to Jewish roots, must read the Torah to know abt Christ. Even must address Christ by Yeshuah if not we address a different Christ. In short, if u dun go back to Jewish roots u dun noe HIM.Originally posted by M©+square:Was it possible that both parties didn't actually look at one another's perspective?
Cleanse? For what? Somebody has said God has given the LAW to us becoz we can keep them.Originally posted by Gwangetto:Christ came to cleanse our sins to all those who want to be cleansed.
He also came to give us a choice to reconcile with God, our heavenly Father.
He came so that the power of darkness can be broken and grace to be upon us so that we all can have the choice to accept Jesus as our Saviour.
cleansing of sin of course. even when we're christians we still sin. so as long as we have Jesus in our life, and if we confess He'll forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, because He is faithful and just. (1 John 1:9)Originally posted by laoda99:Cleanse? For what? Somebody has said God has given the LAW to us becoz we can keep them.
If we can keep the LAW, we dun sin and we are not sinners. What is the need to cleanse?
Why need grace when u can keep the LAW perfectly? This is what I want to know. And Christ is definitely redundant if we already have God's LAW and can keep it perfectly. And mind u, GOD's LAW dun just apply to the 10 commandments, according to this someone.
Somebody mentioned we can definitely keep the law if not GOD would not have give it to us. The LAW was given long long long long long b4 Christ came and Jews were able to keep them, as somebody here has said. So why do we still need God's grace and forgivess?Originally posted by Gwangetto:cleansing of sin of course. even when we're christians we still sin. so as long as we have Jesus in our life, and if we confess He'll forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, because He is faithful and just. the reason why we need Jesus, and why Jesus came to die on the cross is because no one can keep the law perfectly. therefore we all need the grace of God as we all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. without the grace of God, we'll all be perishing. that's the reason why Jesus died for us - for all our sins, iniquities, transgressions against the law and commandments.
Cannot just keep the commandments and obey GOD?Originally posted by Gwangetto:with that, he gave us a choice to believe in Him, the saviour of the world.
1. God loves people. in fact, He loves everyone of us, regardless.Originally posted by laoda99:Somebody mentioned we can definitely keep the law if not GOD would not have give it to us. Can you keep these commandments... love the Lord with all they heart, mind and strength and love your neighbour as yourself?Originally posted by laoda99:Somebody mentioned we can definitely keep the law if not GOD would not have give it to us. So after u believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then what?Originally posted by Gwangetto:1. God loves people. in fact, He loves everyone of us, regardless.
2. adam sinned. therefore, sin is passed down thru generations and are conceived even before an infant is born.
3. it would be an assumption that all Jewish people kept the law. btw... they all have sinned. many times in the bible. read the old testaments. how many times did God appear to the people by using prophets after prophets to speak to the jewish people in vain. in the end, God sent His wrath over them by allowing calamities, captivities and destruction.
4. because of God's love, He sent His one and only Son Jesus to die for our sins.. to sacrifice Himself on the cross and bear all the consequences of our sins upon Himself. so that thru His blood, we can be forgiven of all our unrighteousness and sins when we choose to believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
if we keep the commandments, doesn't means we'll obey God thru and thru. there will be times we will sin, due to our sinful nature.Originally posted by laoda99:Cannot just keep the commandments and obey GOD?
Why do we need a saviour who came and say nothing has been changed? Isn't tat redundant?
Hmm.......Originally posted by Gwangetto:if we keep the commandments, doesn't means we'll obey God thru and thru. there will be times we will sin, due to our sinful nature.
and if sin enters our lives, the Holy Spirit will leave us once there's too much sin commited. thus, we need to confess and repent our sinful ways in order to be reconciled to the Holy Spirit and to God.
Jesus, however has given us a choice to believe in Him such that we can receive grace and forgiveness of our sins from God thru Him who has sacrificed Himself on the cross bearing our shame and sinful deeds.
If we keep the commandments, means we obey God right? If we obey God, how can we sin?Originally posted by Gwangetto:if we keep the commandments, doesn't means we'll obey God thru and thru. there will be times we will sin, due to our sinful nature.

we're toking about why we need Jesus.Originally posted by laoda99:So after u believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then what?
Do u know ur salvation is conditional? U have to obey the LAW and study the torah to be saved. It is definitely not a once save always save thing and definitely not free.
yes. follow each and every commandments should be encouraged.Originally posted by laoda99:If we keep the commandments, means we obey God right? If we obey God, how can we sin?
U receive grace and forgiveness of your sins. So? If u dun study the torah and obey God's every commandment, u will still lose your salvation. Your salvation is not just faith in Christ. U must follow each and every commandment given by Yeshuah, as Yeshuah says not one stroke of the Law has passed away.
In short, u are still living under the LAW.
Hmm...i now see clearer of your Camp ....Originally posted by Gwangetto:we're toking about why we need Jesus.
and yes. our salvation is conditional. i never say that it's a once saved always saved kind of thing.
i was just stating why we need Jesus.
The fact is. Why do we need him, when the LAW suffice and we can keep the LAW?Originally posted by Gwangetto:we're toking about why we need Jesus.

Ok, there are 613 or them and if u break them u lose your salvation.Originally posted by Gwangetto:yes. follow each and every commandments should be encouraged.
but bear this in mind, that although we're imprefect people, we're still striving to be more and more like Jesus.
