1) What is the way to the divine in Christianity?
2) Is there any other way besides Christ?
3) Is Christianity verifiable? One of the buddhists say he is a business man and it is his nature to be skeptical abt the things he hear.
Will be discussing with them next week again, so any input here is welcomed! -

2) Yes, keeping the full commandment of the law perfectly... but we cannot so the only way for us is Yeshua
3) yes, when Shaul preached the gospel, they only had the OT to refer to to ascertain the validity of his teachings, likewise, all that we know from the NT is related to the OT. To us it is the OT, to the Jews, it is their history. Then is buddhism verifiable? -
Actually we all believe in whom we believe, be it GOD, BUDDHA, ALLAH or anyone else (sorry for the mis spelling, pls forgive me) We cannot condemn other religions simply becoz we believe in ours.Originally posted by laoda99:help to answer.

I cant tell you much about Christian ways and such coz I still noobee and may take mee yrs to understand GOD. All I know is: GOD loves us and I love myself so that I can love others.

this is more of a buddhist question, to us, if being divine is to be with God, then the way to divine is resting in the finished work of Christ.
2) Is there any other way besides Christ?
Christ is the only way, if there is any other way, then Christ died in vain

there is no way to fully satisfy a skeptic, unless he chose to be satisfied in the first place.

Anyway, just to clarify, there seems to be a misconception generally among non-buddhists that Buddha is a god and that he is worshipped like a deity.
May I take the chance to clarify that Buddha is not a god (Buddha just means enlightened one). Buddhists look to him as a teacher so as to learn and be enlightened like him (this is just a clarification and is not meant to sway anyone here to Buddhism or create discomfort).
Just like racial tolerance is necessary for races to coexist peacefully, may I also beseech everyone, irregardless of religion, to practice religious tolerance. May peace reside in all of us...

Personally, I feel that there is nothing wrong for Laoda to clarify his doubts. All of us have our doubts at times, it is through questions do we sometimes get better answers, rather than to make assumptions which may be wrong.Originally posted by M©+square:

there is a big difference between doubt and disbelief. -

as to the link between CHC and dharma centres, if SOA and Buddhism can be linked the concept of wealth, i am sure CHC with its wealth and prosperity gospels can be qualified as a branch of Buddhism too
