Do they love the Lord?Originally posted by laurence82:not forgetting doing a heck lots of things and proclaiming oneself as clean because he receives salvation from jesus etc
i think such statements are blatant excuses for committing sins
Is the statement 'live by the sword, die by the sword' ever uttered by jesus in the bibles?Originally posted by Icemoon:Do they love the Lord?
It is mind boggling when Christians who were supposed to receive salvation (by logic who should have love the Lord) ignore the words of Christ.
Jesus: "Father Father .. forgive what they are doing"
Crusaders: "NB KNN CCB all the Jews must die!"
The Crusaders wore uniforms with a big cross right? In chinese we call them shi zi jun (cross army) .. so they should be the ones running to the cross.
I think 'born again' is a Christian concept. Jews and Muslims don't use such term.Originally posted by casino_king:I will only say that I am a born again child of God and refuse all labels.
I think Jesus told the whoever when he was raising his sword to protect Jesus from the Roman soldiers.Originally posted by laurence82:Is the statement 'live by the sword, die by the sword' ever uttered by jesus in the bibles?
Crusaders har? I know, the most famous ones, the Knights Templar.
Hmm, now you said it, yahorOriginally posted by Icemoon:I think Jesus told the whoever when he was raising his sword to protect Jesus from the Roman soldiers.
Knights Templar were supposed to be good guys I thought? They protected people on the way to Jerusalem?
knights templar suddenly remind me of the shinsengumi..Originally posted by Icemoon:I think Jesus told the whoever when he was raising his sword to protect Jesus from the Roman soldiers.

When God sees us, He sees us in Christ's righteousness, not our own, hence when a believer sin (fallen), this sin have no eternal consequence on him, cause, ultmately its through Christ's perfection that we received salvation by grace, and like you said, God does not focus on people's sins.Originally posted by casino_king:One thing I like about NCC though is that they teach that God does not focus on people's sins. Which is true because all have sin. If God demands no sins before anybody can be born again, none will qualify. But NCC teach that sin has no consequences and that is mindboggling. Like I said, if I were God I will certaintly smite them.
The first disciples of Christ were never called Christians. Many of them died without being known as Christians. God does not belong to the Christians. When you are born again you will understand. The Churches will never teach you these things because as far as I can see; they are teaching the knowledge of Good and Evil and even prosperity. They are like the serpent selling the "apple" to Eve. I have no wish to be called a Christian.Originally posted by Icemoon:I think 'born again' is a Christian concept. Jews and Muslims don't use such term.
So you indirectly admit you are a Christian.
When Jesus told you about earthly things and you do not believe; what makes you think that you have any understanding regarding heavenly things? What makes you think that you know about eternal consequences?Originally posted by vince69:When God sees us, He sees us in Christ's righteousness, not our own, hence when a believer sin (fallen), this sin have no eternal consequence on him, cause, ultmately its through Christ's perfection that we received salvation by grace, and like you said, God does not focus on people's sins.
As to whether there are consequence at all? yes, some acts do comes with consequence, speeding through a red light may result in a fine + demerit points, these I would refer them as temporal consequences.
The thing is, knowing that God do not condemn us, will give us the hope and courage to move on instead of being stuck in the pit of desperations and hopelessness.
Ah Lau, I think I know who you are refering to, believe me, there are a lot of differences between them.Originally posted by laurence82:hmm, sound like someone i know

what are ultra-charismatics?Originally posted by vince69:sometimes C_K reminds me of the ultra-charismatics.
ultra charismatics brings the charismatics to the extreme end, meaning, emphasis is given solely on the spoken word of God (Rema) and little or not on the written word of God, also most will just chase after signs and wonders. The problem with this is that there tend to shift towards the mystics side of things and ended up shifting along with whereever the 'winds of personal interest' goes cause there is no anchor to the written word of God.Originally posted by laurence82:what are ultra charismatics?
ask u har ... is NCC moving towards ultra charismatics....think NCC got Rhema centres or wat....Originally posted by vince69:ultra charismatics brings the charismatics to the extreme end, meaning, emphasis is given solely on the spoken word of God (Rema) and little or not on the written word of God, also most will just chase after signs and wonders. hmmm... after I describe this to you, I realised that C_K does not really fit this describtion either...
have not heard of NCC having Rhema center before.Originally posted by laoda99:ask u har ... is NCC moving towards ultra charismatics....think NCC got Rhema centres or wat....
i read wendy prince went to rhema center in USA somewhere...Originally posted by vince69:have not heard of NCC having Rhema center before.
don't think NCC is going towards the extreme yet, cause Ps Prince had so far emphasis on the need to have a balance between the spoken and written word of God.
anyway, personally, the spoken word is not about new revelations (though the ultra charismatics may argue against this), its more like guide to the written word (the bible), there is no new revelations apart from whatever is already revealed and recorded in the scripture, what is need is to understand the principles behind them, this we can rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us.
don't think NCC forming rhema center here, the thing to remember is, Rhema being the spoken word of God is not a bad thing, the problem is when people bring this to the extreme and discard the Bible or use this to play mystics.Originally posted by laoda99:i read wendy prince went to rhema center in USA somewhere...
NCC not forming rhema centres in Singapore? hmm...i tot i read somewhere....
