i find the things that they sell there most or less the same everywhere
that time we go very hot the weather
so we shop more at shopping ctr..better lah...price not much different also..now everything fix price 1..
if u wan to change $ can do at the banks
the rate there not bad..but now i duno like few months ago a not.. -

for watever reasons, try not to consume food/fruits from roadsides. i kena food poisoning during my 2nd last day in bangkok after consuming fruits bought from a roadside.
so turn off.
bring some medicated oil (feng yui), panadol and bao chi wan there. serious. -

Another point to note :
I always change my money in Bangkok (MBK centre) cause they can give you in smaller denomiations (down to 20B) unlike in s'pore the money changer always give 1000B (smallest) if lucky sometimes they give you in 100B. -

BTW try not to board taxis waiting around,..... they target tourists.. you have better luck is you flag down a taxi plying on the roads... tell them to on the meter but if they want to cheat, they take you on a joy ride anyway... so just enjoy the ride or take BTS; MRT to the nearest staion and walk or take cab from the station... about taxis waiting around... does not refer to those waiting at BTS/MRT stations... apply to those waiting around malls and esp hotels and tourist places. Always ask them to on the meter... all taxi drivers understand "meter" and point to the meter. Get down if he refuses. -

Nothing sleazy in there, just good Thai food.
I took about 1.5hrs to find it. And didn't have a really satisfying dinner...i feel that it's below par from the authentic thai flavor.
But the place is nice, and full of ang moh.
Was telling myself, why am i eating tourist food.

Talking about real thai food... the food they sell at golden mile complex is very thai if you can order it in thai. otherwise they water it down for you.
and the duck at MK steamboat restaurant is a must try if you had never tried it. actually duck in thailand is a must try at any thai restaurant. -

Yup, and it took me 1.5hrs to find it cos it's not near to the main road. Got to walk along a dark alley. many things you don't know about Thailand... I can recommend you a Jap restaurent... in the middle is a big pool with big jap carps swimming and sometimes leaping...
