The film has a "mature content" advice and no children below the age of 16 will be able to watch it at the cinemas in Singapore.

It was wrong for Dan Brown to purport the Priory as fact, when it was the brainchild of a confidence trickster Pierre Plantard. No other historical documents mention the Priory apart from the Dossier Secrets which he planted in the Bibliotheque National.

If people screen a movie saying Buddha's enlightenment under the Bodhi tree was a farce, then so be it, since I cannot prove it - and since countless others in the past after Buddha, up till now, even in sgforums, have attained Enlightenment, I will just hope that he will soon see the light. -

As with many religions, Buddhism offers its practitioners the opportunity for different levels of involvement on the spiritual path towards enlightenment. This spectrum of involvement ranges from one who practices with minimal sacrifice primarily to achieve personal spiritual gain to one who sacrifices his or her life with the hope of benefiting all of humanity. Furthermore, as a person moves along this spectrum from little to great sacrifice, one also harbors a growing commitment to the spiritual welfare of all sentient beings. As a Buddhist, I do not agree with that monk's action. Better to be moved by the Satan to kill yourself as a drastic and pursuasive demonstration to stop further violence and war, than to be moved by God to slaughter every single living thing in a city, sacrificing your own child and killing unbelievers and persecuting their descendants for four generations... -
