Last time SK and PG under TIBs meh?
OFF TOPIC
502 ON OCs
if tibs is still wif sengkang area, then it will still be sbs 84 n tibs 864, 80 might exist somewhere lol. 501, 502 continues to terminate @ hougang
if new svcs continues to be introduced, who knows maybe....
861 - sengkang to woodlands via yishun instead of 965
862 - sengkang to punggol field
867 - sengkang to bedok
869 - sengkang to changi village
and feeder svc 822 lol
and in punggol, maybe 87x might be used....
873 - punggol to marine parade
874 - punggol to cga
82 might be renamed to 872
62, 136 n 159 might continue to serve its current route without gg to sengkang/punggol..
instead of 27 extended to sengkang, 858 might get diverted to sengkang instead..
163 extend to sengkang and get renumbered to maybe 863 lol....
I believe 103 will STILL be handed over to SBS since serangoon is under SBS controlled.
yeah.. imagine SKG under SMRT again, the scanerio will be:
80 - 860
86 - 866 =)
87 - 867
119 - 861
156 - 865
159 - 869
163 - 863
163M - 863A?
Till now, i still feel sad that Tibs lost its 2 new towns and was exchange for older (BBT,CCK) towns=X
Anyway in the discussion of "Town swraping" if both AMK n Yishun will to be under the same bus coy, yishun might hav more routes, I got a strong that YCK svc might extend to yishun if yishun will under SBS.
IF anyone had notice, YCK rd/AMK ave 6/ Lentor Ave is the dividing line between SBS/SMRT sector, same for Jurong East Ctrl/Ave 1 junction.

103 was alrdy under Tibs.
Seletar, Punggol, Sengkang (then developing) was handed over together w/ Bt Panjang, Mandai.

i have a feeling that 103 will never have been its current route, instead there will be a full withdrawal of 103 when NEL opened and a service from Sengkang to the seletar camps
wonder what route would SBS997A serve on if it really happens...and those tridents that serve on 80...

76! Go back to it's 1st perm service :)

Most probably remain as service 62 as a Hougang - Geylang Lor 1 service
Note that current service 119 is equivalent to former service 860 that Tibs 1st introduced to Sengkang way back in 1998.
Anyway, new to the topic. Arriva can take Pasir Ris, Tampines, Simei & Bedok. SMRT can always take Hougang, Serangoon, Eunos, Sengkang, Punggol & Seletar only. Another bus operator can always take Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and Toa Payoh.
SBS Transit hopes to take other areas only.
sorry to say this, it may sound very selfish.....
but I'm glad SMRT did not get hold of north east, else today, i will be waiting for irregular, packed, phantom, MIA, ninja buses... all services in SKG and PGL may be cut, with the LRT providing feeder services to the MRT, and maybe one lone 27 preserved to bring people to the east.
Some of Bedok services like: 7, 32, 197 might still under HGDEP controlled

True. Due to increase in population of people in Sengkang and Punggol, there need more buses and services to go there. Doubt SMRT will handle those crowd due to limited number of buses around. It is better for SMRT to concentrate on Bukit Batok and Choa Chu Kang services now.

33, 40 also.

There will not be services 156, 159, 163 in Sengkang.

I believe that 163 will still be extended to Sengkang and renamed as 863 since they had decided to close all of the road end terminals.

156 might be handed over being terminating at Serangoon Int.

Possible for service 163, it was under Tibs at that time before the merger was announced.
Service 156 and 159 will most likely remain at its current route.

Add on service 200, it might still be under JRBP or SLBP controlled. In the past Kent Ridge was under JRBP route group.

Tibs were on expansion drive in NE side when Marbok Tan decided to have 2 subway operators. The Great Swap took place and everything else is history.
If you look at most of the present SKG and PGL routes, many were extended from elsewhere and not introduced from scratch.

Then explain Sv 86's existance from Tibs era as well as likes of Svs 83, 85, 87, 89, 89e.

Current service 86 = old service 59 lol...
Service 59 (Ang Mo Kio - Jln Kayu) handed over to Tibs in Dec 1995, extended to Sengkang from Jln Kayu by Tibs and renumbered to 866 in Feb 1999. Handed back to SBS in July 1999 and later renumbered to 86.
189 might retain its old route (Bukit Batok to West Coast Ferry Terminal)
Can be made up of KUB & VO3x fleets.

I do want to emphasis tat there's no way bus co can keep on intro new bus rts.
Look at now's ridership & QoS though it could have been pre-planned if given e right public tpt policy.
