It was my first days I took bus photos systematically 10 years ago. I took a photo of a bus parking at North Point Pier. The driver suddenly alighted the bus and scolded at me, "why taking photos?" I did not reply to him and left.
When the photo was developed, I realised that the driver was consuming his lunch box on driver's seat. Since then, I would not take photos of buses as the driver is eating / changing on bus, or just not make them recognise me taking photos.:)

Yeah...i guess every human being will react this way esp in S'pore.
So far, I have not been questioned, but I'm sure my day will come soon.
But I rarely take photos of buses. However, my experience in taking bus photos has its ups and downs.
After I snap a picture, I tend to thank the BC by raising my right hand up, to acknowledge him that I'm taking a pic of him. In some cases, they tend to stop at the Bus Stop for quite a while for me to take a nice picture. Of cause, I appreciate his kindness by waving to him again. Some BC also tend to pose for the picture. I remember a few months back, this friendly Chinese BC, pose for me so that I could take a picture. He's a nice guy.
However, I got some stares from some BC when I take a photo of the bus. Some would ignore me, but some we continue to stare at me. But never have I been questioned by BC onto why I was taking a picture of the bus.
I know, it will come soon..(the questioning)

Standing at HG int entrance, taking snapshots.BC must've had a bad day or something,so when he saw me taking,he stared at me and gave the finger. But well,i've also had my share of kind BCs,so i'm letting this one go.
It looked really funny when BC stared at you while snapping photo of their buses.

I was privileged to be able to see a Nimitz class carrier up front....and it seriously is freaking huge.Able to embark 85 airplanes and has unlimited range for 20 years...even if they say it is a sitting duck it still doesn't take the fact away that it really demonstrates the US's bluewater might.
Honestly 14 hrs isn't enough time I'll bet.
WOW....this is fantastic..............
IMDEX open to public???

Nope.
I was simply at the right place at the right time.
Ok, on the other hand, maybe that's not quite accurate given how often carrier task forces call on us.
In addition to the carrier, you'll usually see its escorts, supply ships. 1 carrier task force is hardly a small one.
IMO, the Tarawa class of amphibious ships is another monster, but this fact was marred by the infamous brawl between its sailors and locals at Orchard Towers.

yes, i understand a US CBG is large, with 2 Ageis armed cruiser + 2 Agrie Burlke (Typo) DDG and 2 subs, Tarawa class ship is indeed large, as it serve the flag for some ops not worthy of a CV

OT...but subs call on us also. Most often its the LA class, but I've seen the Virginia class one at least once.
Sadly never seen a Ohio one before, that's supposedly another monster as far as subs are concerned.
HMS Trafalgar was probably the only foreign non-US sub I've seen.
US Carrier Task Force normally includes the USNS supply ships, Oliver Hazard Perry frigates, Arleigh Burke destroyers and the Ticonderoga cruisers. The Aegis system mounted on the Ticonderoga is seriously monstrous in proportions, if you look at the profile of the superstructure, you'll realise the bridge is nearly 2 storeys high, and the 2 storeys below it is one half of the Aegis radar. The other half is at the aft part. The weight of the system alone supposedly causes much hull fatigue. If you include the fact that it embarks 2 helicopters and can carry 166 SSMs, you can start to imagine how big the cruiser is. Sadly I didn't get a chance to see the insides before, but some of my kakis had a chance to see the insides, apparently its a mini-city with ATMs for foreign currencies included.

TIB1257C BC playing with me while I am taking picture of it... -.-" Was standing on the grass patch and was about to snap it when the bus move a bit forward. Said to my self "never mind" and walk a bit to the left << and then was gonna snap it. Again, he move a little bit more forward. So I also walk a bit to the left << and finally snap it, with his face telling me that he lost.
