u confirmed this fact yet?

i will, but my real motive is: Add more services to sbw, and sbw is indeed lack of feeders

I think Sembawang will have enough after 882 ammendment. Firstly, 859 helped cover the Canberra area. Secondly, 962 helped cover the Sembawang area. As said, Wellington Estate have no feeders and by having 882 to ammend through Wellington Estate is to provide convinience for Wellington Estate residents and students of Wellington Primary School.
Only thing i hope SMRT do is to add an additional A/P because i think the frequency will be badly affected if they still stick to 1 bus fleet.

I dun think SMRT Buses has the necessary equipment and manpower to spare~...

oh. then i say eunos no feeder ah? then amend 15 go terminate at eunos int, new feeder go marine parade to cover the deleted sector.
no point putting in feeders when the trunk services can do the job right?
more services does not equate better.

isn't that the reason y now no more m4 or sth like tat?
anw, there is a reason why sbs merged 294 and 357, 226 and 385 etc...

882 is actually cheaper to take than the Park svcs that sbs is operating...
But of course, it is still a important to have it as a feeder for sbw town.

For the ex-Sv.294+357 that became now-Sv.3, I guess the demand was one-way in the morning and evening(either Int to X, or X to Int), and they wanted Pasir Ris to have a proper connection to Tampines... Anyway now Sv. 3 it has a lot of demand during the peak hours. Or it could be purely for economic purposes as there are fare stages now instead of feeder fares...
For why the "extension" to Punggol, that I have no idea.
Took 882 (TIB784D)yesterday for the first time.Amended route is not bad.Demand quite low but still looks healthy.Friendly chinese bald BC.The bus immediately departed again after it reached the Int.
Just wanna ask.Was the Montreal Dr/Link part a former dead end? That road looks very new.

I believe 882 now has 2 perms with 1 additional A/P duty

Yeah TIB780P is the fleet add.Actually i feel that one more bus should be added cuz now i see both buses everytime chionging like crazy as if to keep up with the time and not to make the people wait very long.

But nevertheless better than svc922 right? Wait 38min+ or so and still drive like there's all the time in the world to waste.

Actually, I think it's lack of proper timetable planning. When I see 784D, it is quite packed. 5 mins later, 780P leaves, quite empty. On the way back to SBW Int, at the Junction of Canberra Road and Wellington Circle, you can see 784D chionging at the turn, with 780P just behind it, turning from Montreal Drive to Wellington Circle. Then they bunch at the MRT XD.

I wonder if the 980/882 crossover is still in effect or have they arranged mealbreak swapping since it's 2 A/P duties. Also wondering about the 981/882 crossover...

981/882 spotted when I last went to Sembawang. A certain UD with 882 EDS parking at bus park awaiting for the start of 882 duty ... ...
Just to check whether TIB736T is still a sunday perm for 882 now that it has an additonal TIB780P?

Yeah u are right.882 is definitely better than svc 922.I have seen 922's terrible frequency at Bt Panjang Int while waiting for 975.922's waiting time is really omg........
