yes sir,, it is.
Originally posted by ZYX2005:agree. however i've only sat Daewoo CNg bus. and yesh it sounds like one of them b10BLE.
Doubt is "repackaged as u say". Daewoo is home grown brand. more remodelled after jap buses i think.
As for coach, Hyundai is very smooth n low toned soft. a bit of scania tone.
The Kia granbird coach sounds like a loud MAN.
actually, i spent 3 weeks in korea, so yea, had lots of time identifying those things..
ok firstly. i took a ride on the public buses. most of them older daewoos and hyundais. and also the newer CNG's. didnt really know my way around so while we were in the city, during the night while the rest of the tour grp were slping, me and a kid from another family went out, took ride on the public bus with the tour guide. yes, i hihgly think the daewoo is very B10BLE-ish, highly likely to be a rebadged b10b. not only is the sound the one giving out its status, the rims design, the axles and hub also look exactly a la B10BLE. we had the chance to ride on both KIA and hyundai coaches, so yes, very fortunate. the hyundais all sound like mitsu fusos, and have fuso-like rims also. probably rebadged fuso ba.
the KIA are the one that sounds rare. the granbird I all sounds like MAN, roar of the radiator quite loud and hihg pitched, while the granbird II have rather scania-ish sounds.

nice body, ugly ride height and rims. :P
MAN L 252 pix...
Panorama melaka also has a few SD MANs. SL 252s i thhink. let's board n check out the interior of one of them..
Front to rear. Essentially the ex-Intrakota KL MAN has been refurbish with new seats.
Rear to front
MAN front step entrance. the 45 degree angled step is a standard feature of MAN high flloor buses. Also can be found on MAN SL 202 in Europe. the special 2nd step is a clear indicator that the bus you have boarded is a MAN bus.
Anyone knows what this screen is for??? Mr Surrhiman?
The MAN dash. Looks llike a Merc one.. I like my MAN dash bare so as to show the curved symetrical shape of the MAN dash. Pity SBS8031 one is encased...
Notice the Wayfarer ticketting machine below left hand.
where's the MAN logo...
Whoop there it is...

hahaha ok ok come i explain
this is macau. macau once colonised by the porteguese. So they drive on RHS of veh like us. is like hong Kong also colonnise by british. I wuun be suprise if Shanghai ppl also RHS drive.
next thing i will point out is just only 2 years, macau they start to fit EDS on their buses. hwaaahhh.
If u had been to Macau, u will know that msot of their bsues is the 10m 11mm or 9m type. hardly adeuqate for the locals to get ard on bus as very squeezy. i have mentioned in this thread ebfore 'as bus was packed, i cannot take interior pics"
see above pages for more macau bus taken by me
btw i had taken the pic of that model of bus. till now wondering what model, dun think is King Loong. i guess is Huang hai bus
cheers

thats is why i have started this thread. because we all need to expose ourselves to some voersea bsues to see how buses are like out there. so there is no need for such namecalling.

KOREA set 1
Ok so like i went on horiday in korea in may 2x 2005. the following are the pics i took.
before anything muz explain their bus systems and stuff so u will understand what i about to describe.
generally orea transport system underwent a compelte overhual in 2004. the state govt brough in more new buses and rationalsied the system. the bsues are mianly local products as they support the local bus building industry. Notably yndai and Daewoo are the main bus makers. howeer kia Motors make their own bus but coaches, the kia granbird coaches. later u will see.
the bus system is as such:
Red desto bsues are intercity or inter"state' express domestic bus... must use coach bus.
Blue desto bsues are the Seoul metrooplis buses.
Green desto buses are Seoul metro bus connector. liek feeder bus but go to specific MRT stations. these buses have 4 digit destos. i suspect the first two digits are for the train station number they go to. essentially like Tokyo ones.
In Seoul buses cannot cameo as service stickers are plastered all over the buses.
< U will notice that Rapid KL too have adopted the same color desto and same typre of bus sytem as in Seoul in 2006 (For Kl). >
So Essentially say u live in suburb, u take a red bus svc, then find a Seoul emtro station and hop onto one of the 12 lines of Seoul MRT (one of them called SMRT!) . pop out again to either get on a town bus blue desto or the MT feeder of green desto. Hub n spoke system.
