Didn't quite seem that way leh.....the space between the seat and the dashboard looks suspiciously small.

Singaporean built and exported to macau. A bus u must take in macau. Very nice bus. Very Singaporean. our sear Soon Chow used approved desgins copyrighted from MCV. The bodywork is MCV Sterling but built by Soon Chow which is lecnsed to build MCV buses.
Sample pix of macau PIS. inside the Soon Chow (MCV Sterling) dart. erm blur.
Blur shot of an interior of MCV Sterling SLF Dart. very crowded as well.
Front sloping dirver side window singapore style.

Nice pictures.
Although I went to HK, but missed out quite a lot from riding on different models. Stucked to Dennis Trident Alexander and DM5000 and the tram most of the time. Took an old VO3X and the SD MAN once each. Regrets...
Originally posted by Oceane:Just a question, does Japan only use Japanese brands for their buses (i.e. Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Hino, Nissan etc) or do they also import foreign brands? If so, what brands?
They also have some Pink citaros... but i wasent in that region so only got a photo of a poster

KMB Svc 203
That's a Mitsubishi Fuso with Japanese Shin-Kureha bodywork.
Also, the HK tv mobile system is not broadcasted over the air unlike in sg, the video is playbacked on the bus itself by a recording/playback system.
The Mitsubishis are of MK117J/MK217J. In your photo, FG4803/Fleet no: AM133 is a MK117J

The top one is MAN NL262, and the MAN 24.310 is Kwoon Choong Motor's (a non-franchised bus company), which owns NLB.
Hong Kong buses use Alexander 'R' type body, the Royale is a variation of the R type which Singapore Bus Services specified (or maybe designed it themselves)

If you do look carefully at the fleet number above the front wheel, it says 5XXX, which means that its a B10TL. ALX 500 Tridents are in the 1XXX range.

MAN 24.310 double decker MAn / Berkhoff (Britain) bodywork
umm my only pathetic EDS gone shot of this thing in HK. din even sit one..sadshee din realise is a MAN coach. anyhow whats more crazy is: it is a M-trans (Malaysia) bodywork bus. M-trans coach is more common in Malaysia of cuz. erm Mmind the signpost as we were rushing ard looking for a cha chan ting to makan lunch so cd not get a proper shot...
The first one is an ASV, 10.6m B10TL.
Berkhoff is a Netherlands company owned by VDL (formerlly DAF Bus)
M-Trans, SC Evolutions and SC Chivalrous are common in Hong Kong. There are also SC Classics, SC Euroclasses and SC Elites around.

Is that a Mitsubishi Rosa with Mitsubishi body? This body type of the bus is common in Singapore. We can spot the buses in the SMRT's Busplus..

the coach we took up the lantau hillside to go to the big Buddha. today u wd probably sit the MTR's cable car Nghom Peng 360 up and not take this thing up.
Its a Isuzu LT133 with China Kong body work. And I got a B7R (manual) up and down for 23. I would rather take 23 instead of Ngong Ping 360 if there is a MAN A91.

Yes its a Rosa.

That's correct. Another easier way to identify is by the dress rims. The volvos share the same rims as the oc500le here, which the tridents/enviro500s do not.

But in that picture the Rosa has 2 doors whereas SMRT Busplus and others only have 1 door..
ok thanks to jeffo for the many corrections. have edited them in.

korea is nth much.. its pretty much juz daewoos and kia and hyundai. but they seem to have a substantial number of CNG hyundai buses, (called NGV natural gas vehicle). the NGV;'s look very much like volvo B10BLE, also sound very much like them too.are they actually re-badge B10BLE?
agree. however i've only sat Daewoo CNg bus. and yesh it sounds like one of them b10BLE.
Doubt is "repackaged as u say". Daewoo is home grown brand. more remodelled after jap buses i think.
As for coach, Hyundai is very smooth n low toned soft. a bit of scania tone.
The Kia granbird coach sounds like a loud MAN.
