And the winner picture.....this is the picture of the bus that just went by without even stopping. The very next bus 30 min almost did the same thing. But something must have clicked in the bus driver. Because he did an emergency brake with no care for the world or traffic and honks and apologised to the pissed-off us. Well, SBST and SMRT, try beating that!
This bus is it King Long? Same as Sentosa one?

Higer.......
Edit: Anyway, just to add on, RapidPenang is ordering another 152 new Scania buses.
Ok, thanks to this website, the answer is plain enough....
Looks like I was "lucky" enough to catch only the voith ones.
Penang Island ones are usually the 10m type. Which incidentally are the Voith Higer types.

KMB has ordered 30 units of these things in 2008. the first few have since arrived in hong Kong and doing road tests.
a pic of the bus cna be found on oreintal buses models website. Or just search google "KMB Scania K230UB"
Interior:
the PIW area is on the LHS, doorside. but the air pressure systems seem to really take up lots of space. there is not even a granny seat in bus. the driver door seems big and bulky and the entry door area to aisle seem rather tight and squeezy.
there seems to be a standee area behind the air pressure equipement box behind driver cabin and on the RHS are 2 by 2 seats. In all i think the bus has only 32 seating. Looks like hong kong ppl might complain about this.
the same old many steps to rear feature of a K230Ub remains. the rear seems kind of dark as last window does not seem to exist.
Standard PIW facilties, likely auto-ramp at rear door. With PIW push bell and PIW seatbelt and back rest. What looks cool is they seem to have put the fire extinguisher ina nifty compartment inside the PIW backrest thing. cool.

One of my bus fan friends in school is a KMB freak. He knows every single thing, news, updates about KMB because he has a neighbour who is working in one of the customer relations offices in KMB.He always updates my friend about what goes on in KMB.
Now according to my friend, the model of this kub would be coming out next month and would be sold in all model shops in HK.Heard that MT6551(mobile customer office) would also have the model of the kub but am not sure if they are selling it onboard MT6551.

Bodywork by LP Jaya. The bodywork was 'inspired' from Setra.

A 'hybrid'. Bodywork was that of the sksBus e68 "Travego". The front is actually that of the newer sksBus e128.
It's believed that the e128 was inspired by a bodywork design from South America.
