There are no poor people in Singapore as per some "people" logic
In general, most societies would rather have some inflation rather than some recession. If you do a SRAS and AD graph with a Philips Curve graph, you'll see that inflation and recession are both bad. But history tells us that recession will hurt society more than an inflation (unless it's a supply side inflation). So yes, inflation does make some people poor, but it would be better off than having them unemployed and no means of making money.

Inflation makes poor people more miserable/ poor.
Pro-inflation is a lie perpetuated by bankers and the sellers of rubbish products since it makes people spend money MORE RECKLESSLY than they otherwise would (gives bankers many avenues for profit).
The result of this reckless spending is tthat societies' wealth divide is widened to what U get in Singapore now: a heightened sense of tension amongst fractions: foreigner vs local PMET, work permit holders vs police etc.
The wonderful notional employment numbers are impressive until u discover the number of working poor who are very much disengaged since the work that they do isn't rewarding enough.
And that is the best way to distroy ones economy if not political authority.
