I don't want to talk about the economic reasons now or overcrowding, I am more interested in the enviornmental impact. I heck care about the GDP or the aging population now.
As more people come in, more trash is generated, our water demands go up, our eletricity demands go up, our transport demands go up, and I simply wonder how on Earth is the government going to meet those demands?
What if we used up our land fill? Do we need to dig somemore, somewhere? Can NeWater meet our water demands and still remain affordable for the poorest resident of Singapore? Can our energy plant meet the population demands without building a nuclear plant? Can the transport companies meet our demands? Can the government meet our housing demands?
Is this your holiday homework?
No. I just upset.
I didn't mind more people like her in Singapore :
I don't think so.

quite accurate...
Capitalism can be bad....anything extreme can be bad.
The question then is as a Democratic Socialistic country. Has Singapore swayed too far right?

$5000 per month on just 1 million dollars.
1 trillion = 1 million million
in the hands of 85 people
This is why capitalism can be bad.
edit :- They have more $ than the bottom half of the world's population. Imagine... a world working for a few people the day you are born.

I agree mr clive
But its better to know for the younger generation. So that they are aware. At the end of the day everyone is equal....but during your stay on planet earth or planet singapore....think carefully for your future son/daughter. What sort of Singapore do you want it to be.
