SBS 5230X (BBDEP 151)
Off service from Hougang Int around 12am just now.
Displaying Sv 168 route details! (>Woodlands)
Travelling along Upp Sgn Rd towards Braddell, then PIE.
Does it makes any sense to display the end destination for loop services, although the bus is heading towards the loop point?
For example; sv 36 displays >CHANGI AIRPORT - But the bus is heading to Orchard! I wonder if there are passengers who are not familar got tricked before and boarded the wrong direction.
One suggestion without requiring the bus captain to change the EDS at the loop point is to re-programme the EDS in this manner:
> CHANGI AIRPORT
around 4 seconds later display as:
> TOMLINSON RD (LOOP)
around 4 seconds later display as:
> CHANGI AIRPORT
....keeps repeating in this manner every 4 seconds.....

I guess hardly anyone will bother about the termination of the looping end. Many people only knows that 36 goes to Changi Airport and that's all.
Moreover 36 has a SWT, 36B which terminates at Tomlinson Road. Commuters might even get more confused instead, if 36 says Tomlinson Rd, they might be thinking whether is it going to Airport or the EDS is wrong, which should be 36B.
And because of this confusion, they might miss the actual last few buses of service 36 if they are taking it from Orchard Boulevard, for example, and go home in Marine Parade or to the airport.
But then it should be fine for other airport services, 24, 27, 34, 53.

For Sv 36, I think they're figuring that the focal point in bet is Marine Parade (most residents familiar w/ direction) & Suntec.
But tat said, the part in Suntec is pretty messy for those not familiar.
TIB441T - 926!! China SL forgotten or don't know the 858 svc code for the EDS. Instead of switching off the EDS, he pressed out svc 926 code. Bus was showing svc 926 EDS for the entire trip. But a 858 desto was placed at the side EDS to cover up the side EDS showing which is showing 926 :D
TIB994P off svc with "WOODLANDS DEPOT" and "PULAU TEKONG".
TIB1065P off svc with "PULAU TEKONG".
Suspect its the same driver of both buses.

Refering to my earlier post, i suggested sv 36 EDS shows:
>CHANGI AIRPORT
&
>TOMLINSON RD (LOOP)
These 2 sets of wordings are displayed at alternate intervals; say every 4 seconds interval.
Therefore, I believe passengers flagging the bus would be able to know at once the bus route is from Changi Airport to Tomlinson Rd (loop).
Wheras for sv 36B; it will just indicate "TERMINATE AT TOMLINSON RD".

If I am not wrong 858 destination code is 0582 0583 if I am not wrong so no reason why the chinese national SL should forget.

I ask you to remember 100 codes, can you remember? Please..why you think that the China SL only drives 858? F.y.i., most China SLs are the one who always replace those SG/MY SLs.

For all bus fans, note: 36B does not terminate at Tomlinson Rd only 36A does
36B is a SWT between Marine Parade Rd[Lagoon View] to Siglap Rd[Opp Mandarin Gardens]
36A already has a customised EDS: TOMLINSON RD (Regent Hotel)
For 36B, it should read
Marine Parade Rd
Tomlinson Rd (LOOP)
if you want to be factually correct

Side EDS and Rear EDS: Same as initial stage

I was there!I was like 'wut?' This guy immediately rushed out from nowhere and took photos of the bus leaving.
